The Weekly Samarth Milan events continue to be a great source of fun and engagement for Senior citizens. In case you haven’t attended our event before, Samarth Milan is an intimate get together of enthusiastic seniors who have a lot MASTI and FUN besides discussing topics of common interest. Last week, we conducted two Samarth Milan events. The get together on Wednesday and a Msuical evening on Friday.
During the Wednesday event, our Seniors shared their Travel adventures and we also got to hear about the Ramayana trail in Srilanka. In addition to this Wednesday event, We also organized an exclusive online concert for Seniors to celebrate the 2021 Day of Older persons.

Last week we had asked you to share about your financial planning preparedness
- 38% of respondents mentioned that they have done a formal financial planning while another 9% have engaged a financial planner for doing it for them. That said, 32% of respondents have a mental plan while the balance 21% are yet to make a financial plan. As per the Experts all seniors should have a formal written down financial plan
- The Top 3 financial planning actions taken by all seniors include 1) Ensuring that the spouse is fully familiar with the financial situation, 2) Maintaining and regularly updating a register of all Assets and Liabilities, 3) Ensuring that the Assets can be easily transferred as required
- 34% of respondents review their investment portfolio once every month while 23% review it once every quarter. The remaining 43% respondents review their investments either once a year or even lesser often than a year. Experts recommend all seniors to review their investments at least once every quarter
- 48% of you believe in seeking help of a financial planner while the rest of you believe in using your own judgement. Interestingly only 9% of the 48% who want to work with Financial planners have engaged one already. Those in favor of a financial planner appreciate and acknowledge their expertise, the others don’t have enough trust to rely on their advice
